The past few days, as 2008 comes to an end, I found myself pondering about past actions and thoughts I wouldn’t want to repeat in the new year. Number one on my things-to-do-list is to block all negative thought and try to be more open and optimistic about all aspects of my life. In the process I remembered some relative artworks I had occasionally stumbled upon and I did some more digging. I was surprised by how many of them are out there, found on Etsy’s shops and other websites.

It’s true that an easy and (not so) obvious way to get yourself  motivated and think positive is to look daily at artworks created by talented illustrators and graphic designers. So buy yourself a print like those listed below, hang it someplace in you house or office and leave all negative thought behind!

I instantly fell in love with the original work of London-based artist Yulia Brodskaya, especially her elaborate snow white illustrations (blogged here, in This Is Glamorous).

I had a great girls’ night out last night, drinking coctails and listening to good music in a local bar. They had the most beautiful christmas decoration, I wish I had my camera with me!

I discovered Papaya Art, a USA based stationary and papergoods store, via a wishlist post of Made By Girl. I loved their colorful, retro and kind of kitschish designs! Their seasonal cards are also fantastic and quite original.
