I have to thank bloesem for introducing to me VT wonen, a Dutch magazine about interior design. Although I can’t read a thing in dutch, there are so many inspiring images on their website that it really worths a visit!

The past few days, as 2008 comes to an end, I found myself pondering about past actions and thoughts I wouldn’t want to repeat in the new year. Number one on my things-to-do-list is to block all negative thought and try to be more open and optimistic about all aspects of my life. In the process I remembered some relative artworks I had occasionally stumbled upon and I did some more digging. I was surprised by how many of them are out there, found on Etsy’s shops and other websites.
It’s true that an easy and (not so) obvious way to get yourself motivated and think positive is to look daily at artworks created by talented illustrators and graphic designers. So buy yourself a print like those listed below, hang it someplace in you house or office and leave all negative thought behind!

Sometimes we forget the most beautiful glitter sparks are found in the nature (and not only) all around us… if only we take a moment to look!

Today I discovered the inspiring work of photographer Polly Wreford, via a decor8 blog post. Polly’s beautiful photographs of interiors and still life can be found online under Sarah Kaye’s representation. My favorite images are those of dark green, pink and lilac colors, that come out with a melancholic feeling.
